Don’t Stop

2 Kings 13:18-19

Then he said, “Take the arrows,” and the metformin 1000 mg tab king took them. Elisha told him, “Strike the ground.” He struck it three times and stopped. The man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck the ground five or six times; then you would have defeated Aram and completely destroyed it. But now you will defeat it only three times.”

Observation:

  • Elisha got mad at King Jehoash of Israel because he struck the ground with the arrow only three times
  • The king followed Elisha’s instructions but Elisha was not pleased (made me ask “why? how was he to know?”)
  • Probably because King Jehoash didn’t wait for Elisha to say “stop,” Elisha was disappointed in him
  • The chapter tells me also that King Jehoash did evil in the eyes of the Lord and did not turn away from the sins the former King Jeroboam caused all Israel to commit

Application:

  • When God asks me to do something, I should do it excellently, the best that I can. I should also persevere in it until God tells me to stop.
  • I will miss out on God’s full blessings if I do something half-heartedly

Prayer:
In everything metformin 500 mg buy I do, Lord, help me to work at it with all my heart as though working for You and not for men. (Col. 3:23) Amen.
