I guide metformin side effects in men you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.
Proverbs 4:11
Imagine: You and your friends are planning to go to Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The leader of the group planned for everything. He reserved a van good for 10 people and he assigned you to be the driver. He bought chips and drinks just so that you and your friends have something to eat while you are travelling. He even set the itinerary of what you are going to do once you get there. However, by the time you left your meeting place, he told you to go thru North Luzon Express Way (NLEX) because it is faster and safer. Now let me ask you this honest question, will you follow him? Obviously, if you are a driver like me, NO! Because, Enchanted Kingdom is along the South Luzon Express Way.
This scenario is pretty obvious. In life however, we have the tendency to follow the wrong person. The truth about us is that we love to listen to people who will tell us what we want to hear and we love to follow people who will lead us to where we want to go. The question we should ask is, are we following the right person? Or is this person leading us to the wrong destination?
Proverbs 4:11 tells us that the person whom we should listen to or follow will lead us to the way of wisdom and along straight paths. What is the way of wisdom? It is the Word of God. The right person to follow is the person who follows the Word of the Lord. The word straight means “right path.” You see, some people in this world will lead you to a path that seems right but in the end you’ll realize it is the wrong path. The right person to follow will tell us to read and meditate on the Word of God because it is there that we will see the right path God has for us.
We are made to follow but we need to follow the right person.
Application:
Let us then be on guard so as not to be deceived by anyone who might lead us to the wrong path. Look for the right person, the one who follows the Perfect Person, who is Jesus Christ. The right person will guide us in the way of wisdom and lead us along the straight paths.
Prayer:
“Lord, lead us to your path, which we know is in Jesus Christ. Take away any distraction from the enemy so as to lead us astray and turn our direction to destruction. May our focus be on you, the author and creator of our lives. So that the purposes you have bestowed on us will be accomplished and so that we may also lead people to the straight path you have called us to walk on. Amen.”
