Give up, give God

2 Chronicles 20:15b

Do not metformin 1000 mg pill be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours but God’s.

Crazy exams in school, professor that just doesn’t make sense, dad won’t allow me to take the course i want, friends who make fun of Jesus. Can you relate? Is everyday a challenge that makes you just want to quit? Well i’ve got good news. If you are doing it with your own power, go ahead and quit, give up, surrender.

Right now you might be saying, man, is this discouraging. Wait, cause God doesn’t want you to give up but to trust Him. The verse comes from when Jehoshaphat was going against the Moabites and Ammonites, two big strong armies. God’s people did not look like they stood a chance to win against two superpowers, so Jehoshaphat did what a good leader does, talk to God (pray). He spent time to come before God and seek God’s answer.

And what did the Awesome Creator say? Yup you got it. Do not be discouraged or dismayed. Now pay attention. God was giving a command to Jehoshaphat not to be discouraged of the vast army he was to fight soon. God did not want Jehoshaphat to focus on the problem at hand, but to place their eyes on God. But that’s not all, God backs up His statement with an encouragement, as He usually does: this battle is not man’s but His, and He would take care of it. The question is, what happened next?

If you look at the verses after this, Jehoshaphat and the Israel alliance trusted and obeyed God, worshipped God and sang praises to Him. And God gave the victory to Jehoshaphat in the weirdest ways. Notice how Jehoshaphat approached God when trouble came, trust God for what He said, and gave God the glory and honor after listening and obeying. But don’t take my word for it, grab a Bible and read for yourself what God did.

Application:
So how metformin hcl 500 mg dosage does this apply to you and me in our modern day lives? Ask yourself, what “battle” am I facing right now? It could be a basketball game, a teacher, a friend, a parent or sibling, or a habitual struggle, I don’t know. But God knows, and He just wants you to do what Jehoshaphat did, pray, trust God for what He promises, obey Him, and focus on Him as we know He promises us that the battle is the His

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I know you allow every situation to happen in my life according to Your will. Help me as I focus on You and not my problems remembering that the battle is not mine but yours.
