God of Infinite Possibilities

Is life metformin hydrochloride generic name sometimes scary for you? Or are you facing a problem in school, in your relationships, with money or with your family that just doesn’t seem to have any happy ending or solution as far as you could see? We sometimes feel unable to move forward in life because it seems that the odds are just too big for us to overcome. But the Bible has many stories that illustrate how God is able to lead us into that abundant life He has prepared for us. No matter how many giants or battles we must fight, we can be assured of amazing success through God’s Spirit that is at work in us and around us.
Just look at what God promised to the Israelites. As they were preparing to enter Canaan, the land God has promised their ancestors for generations past, they faced seemingly insurmountable odds. Fortified cities, fierce and merciless giant warriors, their lack of experience in war, etc. They had every reason to turn into scaredy cats! But notice what God commanded and promised them:
Deuteronomy 6:17- “If you think, ‘These nations are more numerous than I, how can I dispossess them?” You must not fear them. You must carefully recall what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and all Egypt, the great judgments you saw, the signs and wonders, the strength and power by which he brought you out–thus the LORD your God will do to all the people you fear.”
God knows exactly what we’re thinking and feeling about our problems and the situations that we fear the most in life. But like the Israelites, He is commanding us today to:
1. Not be afraid (“You must not fear them”)
2. Remember carefully what God has already done for us in the past–how he has shown his power and faithfulness when he rescued us from sure eternal death (through Jesus’ death and resurrection) and from many other impossible situations we have faced in our lives. (“Remember carefully…).
When we do these two things by faith, the result would be that…”the LORD your God will do to (your situation) that you fear…” the same thing he always does when we put our faith in him, deliver us. But what if you can’t recall how God has delivered you from your difficulties in the past? Then just go back to what the Bible says about God–like what he did for the Israelites. What is true of God before is still very much the truth about Him today. You can hold on to that.
Verse 21 is a great promise to claim as you pray for God to enable you to face your fears and win your battles: “You must not tremble in their presence, for the LORD your God, who is present among you, is a great and awesome God.”
As you face your impossibilities, do not fear and remember who your God is. Impossible is nothing for our God of infinite possibilities.
