The Force
Volkswagen – The Force
Just like metformin side effects 1000 mg this KID, we act like VADERS wanting for our plan to be done. Instead of praying, “let Your Will be done” we force God to do the things we think is better for us (and you have to realize that forcing God to do what you want is not a simple matter).
What is the Permissive Will of GOD?
“ Is an metformin weight loss 500 mg event in a believer, who already knows the Will of God, but requests for a different kind of Will/plan, which is usually selfish, which sometimes God permits.”You can read 2 Kings 20:1-6.
Let’s look at the life of Hezekiah in 2 Kings 20 2Kings 20: 1 In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, “This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.” 2 Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, 3 “Remember, LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly. 4 Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him: 5 “Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD. 6 I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.’”
If you have read 2 Kings 20, there was nothing wrong with the request, right? It was just a request between Father and Son, God and His anointed King, Hezekiah. But in the process, because of the intervention of Hezekiah’s Will, Israel came to serve the worst king of all, which is Hezekiah’s son Manasseh. Manasseh was born during the 15 year period God permitted for Hezekiah to live. Why do we call him the worst? (2 Kings 21)
- He did evil in the eyes of the Lord
- Served other Gods; rebuilt the high places
- Bowed down to the starry hosts and worshipped them
- He sacrificed his own son in the fire
- Practiced divination
- Sought omens
- Consulted mediums and spiritists
- He led Israel astray so that they did more evil than the nations of the Lord has destroyed
- He shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end.
And we thought that there was nothing wrong with the request, in the end God’s Will is even better than our own will or His permissive Will.
You may see the little VADER video as a cute and funny commercial but nothing is cute or funny when we force God to do what we want to do in our lives. We just end up disappointed because of our imperfect will.
ShareThink about it and pray whenever you want to force things your way and not God’s way, so that you will not sow what you wouldn’t want to reap.
