Do you love me?
“ Do you metformin 1000 mg cost love me?”
John 21:17
One of the strongest and compelling questions Jesus gave was, “do you love me?” And we know when He asks us that question, we pause and think if that is true in our lives. We look for the right words and answer it as honest as possible… But why should we think? Why should we need to gather our thoughts and memories just for us to answer that question? Because many times we check our history, our life if ever there are some things that didn’t show love to Him in the first place.
To be honest, it’s hard to LOVE God wholeheartedly because even the simplest sins (respectable sins) just takes away your right to say, “I REALLY LOVE YOU.” We let those simple sins (respectable sins) get in the way of our TRUE LOVE for God.
But I’m not here to sulk about all our failures. I’m here to remind you that we can LOVE God, with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind and with all our strength.
If only we remain focused on GOD’s love and not be distracted by the world’s temptations, if only we can remain focused on GOD’s love and not be feasting at the “lust-table” of this world, then we can let REAL LOVE manifest itself in our lives.
God knows we need help that’s why Jesus left us with a manual for living and that is the Bible. But in order for us to live out the manual, He also gave us the strength and conviction that will help us live a life according to His calling and that is through His Holy Spirit.
Gal 5:16—“So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.”
The Spirit of God constrains us to do God’s desires and not the desires of this world. He is our help and our power to live out our LOVE for Him.
Gal 5:22-23—“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
Application:
Many times, when it comes to loving God, we fail to give our all. But God already knows we will all have a hard time in really manifesting REAL LOVE to Him that’s why He cared so much as to give us a Helper, who is His Holy Spirit. How can we be empowered by the Holy Spirit?
1. Admit that we cannot live this life alone.
2. Commit our lives to God each day.
3. Ask for the Holy Spirit to fill us each day.
* Being a Christian is not a one day magical experience. Everyday, every moment, we are to make a choice to either to love God or to love the world. That’s why if you really want to live for God, remember to pray in order to commit & surrender your life each day.
Prayer:
“Lord, I commit to you this day that I may live out a life of LOVE for you. Let your will be done today as I pursue a life of commitment and reliance on Your Holy Spirit. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, so that I may not gratify my sinful desires. Amen.”
